PROGRAM STAFF:

Director:  Shakeel Syed of IslamiCity oversees the IslamiCity Tours and has arranged similar tours in the past. He has traveled extensively and visited many Muslim communities in Europe, Far East, Middle East, Central and South Asia. He is Vice President, IslamiCity and can be reached at travel@islamicity.com.

Tour Manager: Andrea Umirkhin is a native Uzbek and works with a Tour & Travel Company out of Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He has vast experience in arranging tours in Uzbekistan and has hosted IslamiCity representative during the exploratory trip in Feb 2003. 

Samarqand Guide: Moosa Ibrahim is a professionally trained bilingual Tour Guide based out of Samarqand. He specializes in working with tourists from UK & USA. He will be the Tour guide for IslamiCity group in Samarqand.

Bukhara Guide: Rumil is a recent graduate in English & History from Bukhara Univeristy but has already made his mark in Tourist industry . Rumil's contemporary knowledge of Bukhara with formal studies in the history of Bukhara makes him a very valuable asset for Islamicity. He will be our Guide in Bukhara.

Tashkent Guide: Zahir Rajab is a veteran Tour guide in all of Uzbekistan. Br. Zahir is known as the Baba of all tourist guides & has been working with English speaking tourists since decades. He will be the Tour guide for IslamiCity group in Tashkent.
