PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Many Muslims visit Makkah and Madinah for Umra and Hajj.  But very few get an opportunity to visit places that are an integral part of rich Islamic history. Makkah, Taif & Madinah are cities that Prophet Muhammad (upon him be eternal peace & blessings) traveled to or lived in. This tour will explore some areas that offers a unique educational experience, in addition to visiting and performing Umra in Makkah and paying our homage to Prophet in Madinah, InshaAllah.

This 10 nights / 11 days tour will take us to Jeddah, Makkah, Taif & Madinah. We will spend 5 days in Makkah (including 1 day in Taif), 3 days in Madinah and 2 days in Jeddah. And of course, we will visit many historical sites that are often not visited during a typical Umra or Hajj. This Tour is modestly priced at US$2495 per person without airfare.

IslamiCity will arrange the best possible airfare between New York & Jeddah and back. Those interested in this unique educational & spiritual tour are advised to make their reservations as soon as possible to avoid higher air fares. The international airfare can be expected approximately between $1200 and $1500 + tax based on when the ticket is bought. All participants need to arrive in New York on Aug 5, 2004 to fly together to Jeddah.

IslamiCity will arrange your visa for a modest fee of less than $100. The Saudi Arabian law requires women participants to be accompanied with their Mahram.

• Airfare - approx $1200 to $1500 (plus tax):
  Air fare from New York to Jeddah & back. Participants must arrange their own travel from their point of origination to New York. Although everyone will fly in the same flight but their fare will vary as the Airlines have several class fares. The tickets are relatively higher when purchased close to the travel date. Please be assured that IslamiCity does not plan to make any profit on airline tickets. 
  
• PAYMENT PLAN:
  - $200 Deposit (non-refundable) along with registration.

This unique tour aspires to explore Islamic history and Muslim culture of Saudi Arabia. The historic sites and monuments covered in this tour are rarely part of any tour. Interaction with indigenous Muslims, religious leaders, scholars and professionals provides an experience that is not offered elsewhere. You will also capture the spirit of the times while visiting the historical monuments and learn the rich heritage during the visits. Please note that this is not a Deen-intensive spiritual program. The focus is on history, culture and society, primarily relying on the living experience.
