Depart LAX Airport on this day and aboard a spacious jet for your transpacific journey.

Day 2. Nov 01 Arrive at Beijing Beijing Pullman Hotel
Upon arrival you are welcomed by your Spring Tour English Speaking tour guide and transferred to your luxury hotel. After your trans-pacific voyage, it's a real treat to settle into your luxury accommodations that are being provided for your stay in Beijing.

Day 3. Nov 02 Beijing - Great Wall by coach (B/L/D) Beijing Pullman Hotel
Snaking its way through thousands of miles across Northern China, the Great Wall took several dynasties to complete and is the subject of the beginning of your tour this day. Plan to bring comfortable walking shoes if you want to scale the Great Wall.

Day 4. Nov 03 Beijing city tour (B/L/D) Beijing Pullman Hotel
A tour coach will pick you up at the hotel, with the first stop arriving at Tiananmen Square, which is a famous landmark and holds distinction as being the world's largest public square. You will then continue your visit to the Forbidden City, the Royal Palace for the ancient emperors in China, to explore its many fascinating halls and pavilions. In the afternoon you will visit the Niu Jie - the Muslim area in Beijing where you will visit the Islamic Mosque. Dinner will be the traditional Muslim food.

Day 5. Nov 04 Beijing - Xian by flight (B/L/D) Xian Bell Tower Hotel
Today, you will fly to Xian in the morning. Xian has been the capital of many Chinese Empires during the different dynasties over the years, and it was also the starting point for the great trade caravans of the Silk Road. Your first place to visit will be the ancient city wall surrounding the whole city of Xian and gave protection to invasion for hundreds of years. In addition, you will enjoy a renowned local Muslim specialty dinner and a beautiful TANG DYNASTY CULTURAL SHOW WITH MUSIC & DANCES.

Day 6. Nov 05 Xian (B/L/D) Xian Bell Tower Hotel
In the morning, you will drive to visit the Qin Terra-Cotta Army Museum, which has single-handly transformed Xian from a provincial capital to a world-famous tourist destination and archaeological site. The site was first discovered on March 1974 by the local farmers when they were digging a well for irrigation. You will get a once in a life experience to witness these life size terra-cotta soldiers and horses which was created more than 2,000 years ago. In the afternoon, you will go to visit the famous Islamic Mosque in China - The Great Mosque of Xi'an, located near the Drum in the Huajue Lane of Xi'an, is the oldest and one of the most renowned mosques in the country founded in 742. Here in this mosque you will pray together with the Chinese Muslims. Unlike most mosques in Middle Eastern or Arab countries, the Great Mosque of Xi'an is completely Chinese in its construction and architectural style, except for some Arabic lettering and decorations, for the mosque has neither domes nor traditional-style minarets.

Day 7. Nov 06 Xian - Yinchuan by flight (B/L/D) Yinchuan Hotel
You will visit the famous Big Wild Goose Pagoda; the place where the renowned Buddhist monk, Xuanzang (of the Tang Dynasty, from 1000 years ago), translated Buddhism scriptures brought back after his journey from India. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda was said to have been built by this famous monk for the sole purpose of translating the scriptures. Our experienced guide will tell you the story why the Pagoda got the name Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Your trip to the silk road will also follow his steps to explore this mysterious ancient transportation way. After the Pagoda, you will go to visit the newly built Shaanxi History Museum, where you will enjoy many historic relics found in this Shaanxi province and get to know more about the Silk Road history.
You will fly to Yinchuan today. Yinchuan is the Hui Ethnic Nationality Autonomous Region in China where Muslim is the majority. Often overlooked by typical travelers, Ningxia offers cultural, desert and Silkroad tourism that is off the beaten China-tourism path. Few travelers in China stop over in Ningxia, central China's ancient Silk Road conduit. Those who do will discover a land of vibrant religion, ancient history and natural beauty. Yinchuan now was approved by the China State Council as the permanent host city of the China-Arab States Economic and Trade Forum.

Day 8. Nov 07 Yinchuan-Shapotou-Yinchuan (B/L/D) Yinchuan Hotel
Today you will go to visit Shapotou, a place regarded as one of the five most beautiful deserts in China, and is widely recognized as the Capital of Sand. Standing on the sand hill, one can see the desert extending to the north, and to the south, a boundless oasis. Both the grandeur of the north of China and the elegance of the south come together in this lovely place.
In the afternoon, you will have time to visit the Chinese Muslim Museum and the local Muslim community area. After the local specialty Muslim food, you will watch a Muslim culture show.

Day 9. Nov 08 Yinchuan visit (B/L/D) Yinchuan Hotel
Today you will visit the West Xia Kingdom (1038-1227) which stands among the once powerful kingdoms, with its capital in Yinchuan shaded by Mt. Helan imperial forests. Its Imperial Tombs reflect the past glories culturally and militarily. You will also visit the 108 Dagobas, set in the desert near the town of Qingtongxia Zhen, the 108 Dagobas stand in twelve gleaming rows, spread out in a perfect triangular formation overlooking the Yellow River. A Buddhist monument, it is not clear exactly what their purpose is. Traditionally it has been thought that they were placed here during the Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368) but recent thinking is that there may be some link to the Western Xia Empire. 108 is a significant number in Chinese numerology: there are 108 prayer beads in a Buddhist rosary - the same number of possible sins or worries.

Day 10. Nov 09 Yinchuan / Shanghai by flight (B/L/D) Fudan Crowne Plaza
The Chinese Muslim culture & history discovery tour will finish and you will fly to Shanghai today.

Day 11. Nov 10 Shanghai (B/L/D) Fudan Crowne Plaza
As the largest and most prosperous city in the nation, Shanghai is the economic, financial and cultural center of China, while Beijing is the political heart. Shanghai is a modern and fast paced city, rich in history and culture and a wealth of areas and sites just waiting to be explored. One of the nicest aspects of Shanghai is that the crowds are much more manageable here than Beijing. This is largely because there are no great historic sites for people to flock to. Shanghai is a city to be walked, wandered, and marveled. Today you will visit the Cheng Huang Miao. The temple is a touristy with impressive warren of lanes and stalls. Then you will visit the famous Nanjing Road, known as the best shopping street in China. Flanked on both sides by brand name department stores, specialty shops, exotic restaurants, theaters, and cinemas, there are countless visitors walking through it every day. Nearby is the People's Square, which is a spectacular space in the heart of the city. Formerly as the city's race-course, a sports arena, and a gamblers paradise, the area west of Nanjing Road was converted after the war to become the People's Square. You will visit the Bund Area, a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai. Whether it is during daytime or at night, the views along the Huangpu River are always spectacular. You will get a chance to amaze at many great modern skyscrapers, each with different architectural styles. The west side of the Bund is the most famous and attractive sight with 52 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance. This is an excellent place to enjoy the view of the past and present Shanghai. Today you will also visit the mosque in Shanghai " the Xiaotaoyuan Mosque". Located at Xiaotaoyuan Street in southern Shanghai, the Xiaotaoyan Mosque, also called the Xicheng Mosque , is one of the famous mosques in the city. It was established in 1917 and rebuilt in 1925.

Day 12. Nov 11 Shanghai - Los Angeles by flight (B)
