Sponsorship Options: Sponsorships can be either in cash or kind.

Platinum: $5,000 sponsorship giving the sponsor over $10,000 worth of reciprocal value.

What is Online Qiraah Competition?
The concept of “Online Qiraah Competition” is one of its kind.  Islamicity firmly believes in helping and encouraging Young Muslims learn the art of Quranic recitation.  This competition is a unique way to encourage Young Muslims learn the art of Quranic Recitation. Unlike in the physical world, this online competition is open to any participant from anywhere in the world. They simply read a Sura and video record themselves and mail us their video. We in turn digitally encode their video and put it up online for public viewing and for grading by a panel of professional Quranic Reciters (judges). The participants earning maximum points win their category of the competition.

The participants’ online video entries are “available to anyone from anywhere at anytime and forever”. This is a virtual competition for young Muslims all over the world that does not cost them anything to participate. On the contrary the competition offers many prizes.

When is the Competition?
The competition begins Dec 21, 2001 and concludes March 21, 2002. The results will be announced approximately a month or two thereafter.

How is the Competition Exposed to the World?
Over half a million people from over 100 countries visit IslamiCity site each month. This community is exposed to the competition by banner ads and mass emails.

Who can participate in the Competition?
Anyone between 6 and 25 years old Muslim children from anywhere in the world.

What do the participants get?
a) 1 Air Ticket from anywhere to Malaysia & back
b) Hotel Accommodation in Kuala Lumpur 
c) 15 ALIM Software Packages
d) 10 copies each of Al Qari Plus and Salat Base
e) 1 Laptop Computer
f) And More

What Is Needed Now?
The total project cost is approx. $20,000. If you prefer to review line-item details, please feel free to ask.  IslamiCity needs sponsors who can underwrite the competition in two ways.

The financial sponsorship would primarily underwrite the digital encoding work. Secondarily, the sponsorship may also underwrite some advertising and marketing, prizes, volunteer & judges stipend & other incidentals.
