2:144 We see the turning of thy face (for guidance to the heavens: now Shall We turn thee to a Qibla that shall please thee. Turn then Thy face in the direction of the sacred Mosque: Wherever ye are, turn your faces in that direction. The people of the Book know well that that is the truth from their Lord. Nor is Allah unmindful of what they do. Turkish:
2:144 Biz, senin yüzünü çok defa göge dogru çevirip- durdugunu görüyoruz. Simdi elbette seni hosnud olacagin kibleye çevirecegiz. Artik yüzünü Mescid-i Haram yönüne çevir. Her nerede bulunursaniz, yüzünüzü onun yönüne çevirin. Süphesiz, kendilerine kitap verilenler, tartismasiz bunun Rablerinden bir gerçek (hak) oldugunu elbette bilirler. Allah, yaptiklarinizdan gafil degildir.
French:
2:144 Certes nous te voyons tourner le visage en tous sens dans le ciel. Nous te faisons donc orienter vers une direction qui te plaît. Tourne donc ton visage vers la Mosquée sacrée. Où que vous soyez, tournez-y vos visages. Certes, ceux à qui le Livre a été donné savent bien que c'est la vérité venue de leur Seigneur. Et Allah n'est pas inattentif à ce qu'ils font
German:
2:144 Wir sehen dich oft dein Antlitz gen den Himmel wenden; sicherlich werden Wir dann dich nach der Qibla kehren lassen, die dir gefällt. So wende dein Antlitz gegen die Heilige Moschee; und wo immer ihr seid, wendet euer Antlitz gegen sie. Und die, denen das Buch gegeben ward, sie wissen wohl, daß dies die Wahrheit von ihrem Herrn ist; und Allah ist nicht uneingedenk ihres Tuns.
Spanish:
2:144 Vemos cómo vuelves tu rostro al cielo. Haremos, pues, que te vuelvas hacia una dirección que te satisfaga. Vuelve tu rostro hacia la Mezquita Sagrada. Dondequiera que estéis, volved vuestro rostro hacia ella. Aquéllos que han recibido la Escritura saben bien que es la Verdad que viene de su Señor. Alá está atento a lo que hacen.
