In Performing this rite, Muslims are reminded of their forefather, Ibrahim.  His story shows them the reality of submission to the Decree of Allah.

A single sheep or goat is sufficient as an Udhiya for a man and his household. It is permissible for seven people to share the sacrifice of a cow. 

During the coming Eid-ul-Adha, IslamiCity has arranged for Udhiya (Qurbani) to be performed in the countries listed on this chart.  The meat of the Udhiya will, InshaAllah reach the deserving.

New Service - Qurbani USA

IslamiCity is working with Midamar, a premier Halal meat processing company, to provide lamb Qurbani service where 2/3 rd of the meat from the lamb will be shipped to you and 1/3 rd of the meat will be donated to a local Food Bank.

Advantages 

  • Closer to the Qurbani tradition of dividing the sacrificed animal into 3 parts. 
    * 1/3 rd for yourself
    * 1/3 rd for friends and family
    * 1/3 rd donated to people in need.

  • The value of the 2/3 rd of the meat that will be shipped back is estimated to be US$ 200.

  • 2/3 rd of the meat (which is shipped back to you) will be in small convenient packages for easy distribution to friends and family and for your own personal use.

  • By donating 1/3 rd of the meat to needy people in the USA, you will be fulfilling the Islamic duty of helping the needy in our own communities.

  • US$ 385 shipping included.

Meat Shipping

  • The Qurbani meat will be shipped in an insulated Styrofoam box via FedEx with plenty of dry ice to keep food protected and safe.

  • The meat will be shipped within 10 days after Eid Al Adha

Quality Assurance

  • Qurbani will be performed within the first three days of Eid Al Adha.

  • Midamar Halal meats are held to the highest integrity at the point of slaughter, under strict supervision of USDA.

  • Midamar has been providing Halal food for nearly 30 years.

  • Midamar is the first company in the United States to work in conjunction with the USDA in developing an accredited Halal food program.
