While the West is leaving no stones unturned in its ‘good intentions’ to bring democracy to the backward Muslim nation-states – yet how is it that election after election, the plight of the majority of the people in the West remains in the same abysmal condition under democracy? How is that despite the endless promises of politicians, the status quo persists?
According to the ‘State of Working America 2004-2005:
- In 2000, almost half of all income (47.4%) went to the top fifth income class of families, while the poorest fifth received less than a tenth as much (4.3%).
- In 2001, the wealthiest 1% of all households controlled over 33% of national wealth – while the bottom 80% of households held only 16%.
- In 2001, the top 1% of stockowners held 33.6% of all stocks, by value – while the bottom 80% of stockholders owned just 10.7% of total stock value.

“President Bush believes in an ‘ownership’ society, which means that except for wealthy, your on your own. The president’s budget would cut funding for Medicaid, food stamps, education, transportation, health care for veterans, law enforecement, medical research and safety inspections for food and drugs. And, of course, it contains big new cuts for wealthy and corporations….”
The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) warned the Believers, 1400 years ago – The Believer does not allow himself to be stung twice from one (and the same) hole – Sahih Muslim.
