Subject: Saddam Hussein & the Tower of Babel

Saddam Hussein was at the height of his power during the 1980s. At that
time, he was propped up by both Moscow, primarily, and (at the urgings
of the CIA, who were developing close working ties with Hussein's Soviet-
trained Mukabarat) the Reagan Administration, secondarily.

At that height of his power, Saddam Hussein styled himself as the
reincarnation of Nebuchadnezzar 2 (Nebu-kudurri-utsur, or
Nebuchadrezzar). First, Saddam Hussein minted coins with his own
profile superimposed upon that of Nebuchadrezzar [1]. Saddam also
began rebuilding the ruins of ancient Babylon. Saddam put up a large
mural of himself next to Nebuchadrezzar at the entrance to the ruins [3].
Also, Saddam rebuilt the 600-room palace of Nebuchadrezzar [2]. And
echoing Nebuchadrezzar's practice, Saddam had his own name inscribed
on the bricks used in the reconstruction. The inscriptions are reported to
read:

*"This was built by Saddam Hussein, son of Nebuchadnezzar, to glorify
Iraq" (This recalls the ziggurat at Ur, where each individual brick was
stamped with "Ur-Nammu, king of Ur, who built the temple of Nanna")

[3]

*"In the era of Saddam Hussein, protector of Iraq, who rebuilt civilization
and rebuilt Babylon." [2]

*"In the era of President Saddam Hussein all Babylon was constructed in
three stages. From Nebuchadnezzar to Saddam Hussein, Babylon is rising
again." [4]

Saddam also built his own "Saddam's Palace" opposite and facing
Nebuchadrezzar's. It is shaped like a Ziggurat and was built in 4 tiers. On
the ceilings and walls of Saddam's palace, 360-degree murals depicted
scenes from ancient Babylon, Ur, and the Tower of Babel.
Throughout, pediments were engraved with the his initials, "SdH" [2].

And, most striking of all, Saddam began renovating the Ziggurat of Ur. He
succeeded in rebuilding the lowest level and entrance staircase (see
"photo 1", [8]). That Ziggurat was laid down at Ur around 2000 BCE by
King Ur-Nammu (sometimes called Zur-Nammu or Ur-Engur [6]) as a
tribute to the God “Sin” and was called “Etemennigur,” which meant “a
house whose foundation creates terror" [5]. Ur-Nammu's successor, King
Shulgi, completed the Ziggurat and declared himself a God [7]. And recall
above how Saddam Hussein echoed the practices of Ur-Nammu by
inscribing his intials throughout monumental buildings.

Thus we see that Saddam Hussein not only stylized himself after
Nebuchadrezzar, who butchered the Sons and Daughters of Abraham in
Jerusalem (seemingly his intended message [1]), but also after Ur-
Nammu, Shulgi, and the "Babylonian Renaissance" of their "3rd Dynasty of
Ur".

That is, Saddam Hussein styled himself a God.

And, through his rebuilding of Babylon, Ur, and seen in his dramatic
artistic recreations of the Tower of Babel, we see that Saddam Hussein
attempted to begin the rebuilding of the Tower of Babel.

And is this even anything new? The answer is a very emphatic "Hell no!"

For Saddam's Marxist Communist God-less God-hating God-denying
God-attacking Soviet masters in Moscow had, long earlier, attempted a
far grander recreation of the Tower of Babel in Moscow itself. That
building, the "Palace of the Soviets", was begun in 1933 over the ruins of
the Eastern Orthodox Cathedral of Christ the Savior, which the
Soviets demolished to make way for the Palace [10]. The "Palace of the
Soviets" was meant to house the World Congress of Soviets [9] (do
recall the globalist aspirations of God-less International Communism).
Construction of Moscow's "Tower of Babel" was only halted by the German
Invasion and Guderian's Panzers nearing Moscow in the winter of 1941,
which forced the Soviets to tear down the hegemonic steel skeleton to
use for building tanks.

Today, another skyscraper vaguely reminiscent of the "Tower of Babel" is
being erected in the nation of Dubai (the very same that has been in the
news recently). The Burj Dubai ["Dubai Tower"], begun in 2005:

*"The tower goes up in steps in a spiralling way. In Islamic architecture,
this symbolises ascending towards the heavens." [11]

*In the middle, the silver tower looks like a gigantic arrow reaching
halfway to the heavens. [11]

*"You know that the exact height is a secret," says Mr Smith. "But it is
going to be substantially taller than the highest building, taller than 600
metres." (Note that heights of, say, 660, 665, or 670 meters would,
technically, satisfy that promise)
[11]

Please rationally analyze the following logic:

  1. Let us assume you now accept that Saddam Hussein styled himself a
    Babylonian God-man Priest King

  2. Let us assume that all Muslims are compelled, by the tenants of Islam,
to condemn the Tower of Babel as a Satanic work

  3. Then, by logic, the tenants of Islam would demand that Saddam
Hussein (who tried to rebuild the Tower of Babel) and God-less
Communists (who also tried to rebuild the Tower of Babel, and helped
Saddam Hussein in the same efforts) be condemned

  4. And, likewise, anybody who aids or abetts Saddam Hussein, or
who stands on the same side of the battlefield as Saddam Hussein,
similarly be condemned (for siding with those who would rebuild the
    Tower of Babel)

Now, first, am I correct in assuming that Islam condemns the Tower of
Babel -- as a time of suffering when even pregnant mothers were forced
to work even in the last hour of their pregnancy, and to put their newborn
infants in their aprons and keep on making bricks for the tower [9] ?

And, next, have I persuasively argued that Saddam Hussein styled himself
a Babylonian God-man Priest King? I acknowledge that Hussein probably
never made a "confession of the mouth" openly saying, for all the world
to hear, that he was a Babylonian God-man Priest King. Nevertheless,
"deeds speak louder than words", and I am arguing Hussein made a
"confession of the hand", if you will, to his own divinity, by styling himself
(unambiguously) as the reincarnation of Ur-Nammu, Shulgi, and Nebu-
kudurri-utsur (Nebuchadrezzar).

If my facts are complete and sound, and my logic is sound, then
you are compelled to accept my conclusions -- and any refusal to do so
can rightly be labelled "irrational".

On the other hand, if my facts are either incomplete or false, or if my
logic is flawed, then you can rationally reject my conclusions.

So, are my facts and logic sound, or are they somewhere flawed? If they
are flawed, where? And what is the truth of the matter?

For the record, I have not here asserted my own glorious awesomeness.
Almighty God knows the Truth -- everything else is just hot air. But I do
want to know the Truth as best I am able.

And I don't want to make no frigging bricks. (The oh-so-cool oooh-la-la
Tower of Babel was 463 cubits = 694 feet tall. I could buy a $50 toy
rocket that shoots up to 1000 feet or more. I've climbed mountains --
God's Towers -- at 12,500 feet. Writing was a major
contribution to the advancement of Mankind. Thanks. But I don't see the
big deal in a big heap of bricks. You want a roadway to the Heavens?
Build a space-port. Think about it. I didn't say anybody cares. I
just said, I don't see where I'm straying from facts & logic.)

I am not sure what your point in writing this is. To see if Muslims will defend Saddam? I do not think you will find many Muslims who defend Saddam, however, that does not mean that we defend the war in Iraq either.

If your logic is sound, then the USA must also be called God-less and blood guilty, as they did support Saddam with money and weaponry at the height of his power, and during the height of his most barbaric atrocities.

Let us say my logic is sound.

How then would Muslims fight along side Saddam Loyalists?

You will note that, all told, America has also twice fought Saddam.
So, if my logic is sound, and Saddam Hussein willfully sowed
Brutalitarian terror just like the whole line of Nimrod before him,
then every time anyone aids/abets Hussein, they must be
condemned...

and everytime they attack Hussein, they must be lauded...

Please do note:

NOT EVERY AMERICAN WAS HAPPY ABOUT THE DECISION TO LEAVE
HUSSEIN IN POWER IN 1991... NOR THE SIMILAR DECISION TO BETRAY THE
KURDS SHORTLY THEREAFTER... NOT ALL 250,000,000 MILLION
AMERICANS WERE CONSULTED IN A GIANT PUBLIC POLL, WHERE THEY
CAME TOGETHER AND SAID, "HEY IT'D BE REALLY COOL TO SELL THE
KURDS OUT AND WATCH THEM DIE, DUDES, THAT'D BE REALLY FRIGGING
RAD, MAN!" THE WILLFULL CHOICE TO SACRIFICE THE KURDS TO KEEP
THE MARXIST COMMIE RED HUSSEIN IN POWER WAS, RATHER, MADE BY
FAR FEWER PEOPLE -- PEOPLE, INCIDENTALLY, WITH A THEN DECADE'S
LONG WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH HUSSEIN'S SOVIET-TRAINED
MUKABARAT DEVELOPED DURING THE IRAN-IRAQ WAR... THERE ARE
MANY MONIED INDIVIDUALS WITH POWER ALL OF WHOSE FAVORITE
COLORS ARE RED... FYI, IF SENATOR JOE McCARTHY HAD BEEN HEEDED,
AND NOT ASSASSINATED, AMERICA AND THE WORLD WOULD BE WAY
BETTER OFF... ASSUMING YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE SAYING "DON'T
THROW OUT THE BABY WITH THE BATH-WATER", IS IT THE
BABY'S FAULT THAT SOMEBODY SLYLY PISSES IN ITS BATH-WATER WHEN
NOBODY ELSE IS LOOKING?

My America clearly needs allot of help cleansing itself of corruption
that plagues it.

That's not logically the same as saying, however, that "America is
categorically evil".

My America, and my America alone, put a man on another Heavenly
Body (the Moon). But that's worth nothing as far as getting
American politicians to stay loyal to America.

Why would Muslims care about a ziggurat, much less imagine it to be the Tower of Babel or consider a structure touched by God to be satanic?

I gotta admit though, ziggurat is a kewl word.  It would be fun to be able to use it more often.

Bismarck :Let us say my logic is sound.

SR:Your  logic here is akin to the old adage the politics makes strange bed fellows. Your logic is ===head I win tail you lose.

Bismarck:How then would Muslims fight along side Saddam Loyalists?

SR:No Muslim is fighting along Saddam—what is this Saddam loyalist nonsense? If he had any animals like that he wouldn’t be found and sit in that trial box. You broke the law you fix it --good luck
Bismarck: You will note that, all told, America has also twice fought Saddam.
Sr:  Rubbish, it was a ploy to dump dated American ammunition at premium prices while emptying Kuwaiti & Saudi idiots deep pockets. And also keep the neo colonialism live and well. The problrm is the arabs have been gone too far down the devolution path due  by some their own but mostly the Turkish imperialism.

Bismarck:So, if my logic is sound, and Saddam Hussein willfully sowed
Brutalitarian terror just like the whole line of Nimrod before him,
then every time anyone aids/abets Hussein, they must be
condemned...
SR: Who set  him up in first place? You wouldn't know the sound logic if it hit you in the face
Bismarck:and everytime they attack Hussein, they must be lauded...
SR:What is there to attack a haggard old man sitting in a cell block.

SR:        MY GOD >>>>>>>>SO YOU ARE A MCCATHIST –YOUR  GUY WHO IS REPORTED AS FOLLOWS IN WIKIPEDIA

In 1952, Hank Greenspun wrote articles alleging that both McCarthy and Roy Cohn, his chief counsel, were homosexuals. In the Las Vegas Sun Greenspun wrote "It is common talk among homosexuals in Milwaukee who rendezvous in the White Horse Inn that Senator Joe McCarthy has often engaged in homosexual activities." [3] The following year at the age of 44 McCarthy married Jean Kerr, a researcher in his office. He and his wife adopted a baby girl in January 1957[4]. Decades later, Cohn's homosexuality became widely known as he began to physically suffer from HIV. He died of AIDS in 1986.

Journalist Richard Rovere (1959) wrote:

There have been descriptions of him as having spent his last years in an unbroken alcoholic stupor. These descriptions are inaccurate. He had always been a heavy drinker, and there were times in those seasons of discontent when he drank more than ever. But he was not always drunk. He went on the wagon (for him this meant beer instead of whiskey) for days and weeks at a time. The difficulty toward the end was that he couldn't hold the stuff. He went to pieces on his second or third drink. And he did not snap back quickly.

It was reported that McCarthy suffered from cirrhosis and was frequently hospitalized for alcoholism. Numerous eyewitnesses, including Senate aide George Reedy and journalist Tom Wicker, have reported finding him alarmingly drunk in the Senate. However, conservative activist William A. Rusher, who knew McCarthy personally, claimed that his drinking was moderate in his last years.

He died of acute hepatitis in Bethesda Naval Hospital on May 2, 1957, at the age of 48, and was given a state funeral attended by 70 Senators. St. Matthew's Cathedral performed a Solemn Pontifical Requiem before over a hundred priests and 2,000 others. Thousands of people viewed the body in Washington, and McCarthy was the first senator in 17 years to have funeral services in the Senate chamber. He was buried in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery, Appleton, Wisconsin. More than 30,000 Wisconsinites filed through St. Mary's Church to pay their last respects to him. Three senators — George Malone, William E Jenner, and Herman Welker — had flown from Washington to Appleton on the plane carrying McCarthy's casket. He was survived by his wife Jean, and their adopted daughter, Tierney.

You want to intimidate here with your McCarthyism!!!! yell and scream. ALSO STOP STATING THE FICTION AS FACT.

ACCORDING TO THE ABOVE INFO Joe McCarthy was  MAN OF QUESTIONABLE character.

DO YOU KNOW  AS A SUPPORTER AND PROPONENT OF IRAQI EXPEDITION YOU HAVE PUT THE AMERICA IN RED BY AT LEAST $500,000,000,000 AND MOST OF IT DEBT TO THE MARXIST CHINA. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE ENORMITY OF THIS WASTE?

WHILE IT NEEDS TWO PAYCHECKS TO PAY BILLS AND MOST  AMERICANS SAY THE COUNTRY IS HEADED IN WRONG DIRECTION. WE WILL SEE ANSWER PRETTY SOON--IN NOVEMBER.

IN IRAQ YOU HAVE CREATED THE MOST CORRUPT AND MISERABLE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE PEOPLE EVER IN THE HISTORY OF THAT COUNTRY.

On the Stateside the price of gas is touching $4 a gallon. What sense you are making yelling anti Nebuchadnezzar rhetoric in this day and age.

Nebuchadnezzar did what he was told to do by God to teach rebellious Israelites a lesson and that  was thousands of year ago.

Guess what; who robed most the antiquities of Nebuchadnezzar timeframe from its museums after the invasion ?===Right answer>>>>>>Americans and their Brit buddies. How about the cash and gold??

STOP THIS HYPOCRITICAL BELLY ACHING FOR HEAVEN SAKE
