Assalamu Alaikum
I hate to burst your bubble but simply because there are no cases you or I or even a lot of others have heard of doesn't mean they don't exist. It is a well know fact that there are some leaders of some "Muslim" countries who actually do take bribes from GWB himself. Of course, they are not called bribes in public but they are bribes none the less. Crime is not found in only one or just a few nations of this world. Crime is everywhere! With that said, I will say that anyone who commits these types of crimes cannot be truly considered to be Muslims. Inshallah no righteous person would do such a thing.
Smanzoor, I would like to point out to you that it is blanket statements (better knows as hasty generalization) like yours which lead to name calling, fighting and in many cases violence. Please try to word your posts in such a way as not to come across as condeming people across the board. Shukrun!

Well let me rephrase my questions:
Do we punish our leaders or powerful people like this in Muslim Countries?
Do we have any such PUBLISHED examples in Muslim countries where a lawmaker or parlimentarian is punished after a fair trail?
There is a saying "A nation can prosper without faith in God but cannot prosper without Justice" ( I am not sure about the source and also exact wording since the original saying is in Arabic, excuse me for this)
(Moderator, Am I correct this time? I suggest a pre-audit before posting questions)

America's New Technology
Please consider.
Satan and EgyptAir crash
October 31, 1999 EgyptAir Flight 990 from New York to Cairo with 217
onboard crashed at about 1:54am EST in the Atlantic Ocean about 60
miles southeast of Nantucket. The plane had just reached a cruising
altitude of 33,000 feet before it suddenly began to fall. The EgyptAir
plane, named Thutmosis II after a pharaoh who ruled Egypt around 1450
B.C., was a Boeing 767-300ER delivered to the airline in September 1989.
EgyptAir not only named their planes after pharaohs, but the icon of
Horus, the Egyptian god of the air, was placed on the tails of the planes.
Horus was symbolized by a hawk. A hawk is the symbol of a pharaoh.
Horus is the same as the "prince of the power of the air."
Sunday, October 31, 1999
12:48 a.m. EDT — Plane lands at JFK airport.
1:03 a.m. EST — Leaves gate at Kennedy Airport with 217 passengers and
crew aboard.
1:19 a.m. EST — Plane departs JFK bound for Cairo, Egypt.
1:43 a.m. EST — Pilots make final radio communication.
The co-pilot was now alone in the cockpit, sitting in the right-hand seat,
the cockpit voice recorder suggests. Sometime in the next five minutes,
the co-pilot--now believed to be Batouti--recited a fragment of a Muslim
prayer: "Tawakilt ala Allah," which has been variously translated as "I
entrust myself to God" and "I put my faith in God's hands." Time about
1:46am
1:50 a.m. EST — Plane begins descent from 33,000 feet.
1:52 a.m. EST — Last radar signal received from plane.
Curiously, I did a calculation just now and it really does proove that
something strange was seen outside by the co-pilot. For the calculation
shows Satan himself, and so I presume he was seen in the symbolism of a
kind of UFO. So Satan mocked Islam.
Now, I am not going to give the numbers, but please be assured I know
what I know. And I presume America is aided by the likes of Satan and Co.
Hence some of their new technology came from the Dark Side.
And I mean it.

Though I got your point bro smanzoor, but these examples doesn't show any thing at all. The element of corruption is every where, only the difference is in degree. You asked for examples, where one talks of simple congressman, there are examples of Prime Ministers being hanged to death awarded by the legal courts of the Muslim countries through open trail. Though now one can argue against these examples through many "conspiracy" theories, but such theories can be called in this case of Congressman too. Isn't it?
