| Hello, my name is Joseph. I am a Protestant Christian and am on here to learn more about Islam. I would say that I have a basic understanding of Islam, however I would like to gain a much deeper understanding; and who knows... I may learn something on here that convinces me to be a Muslim. I am certainly open to anything anyone on here has to say, and I am not at all on here to insult or attack Muslims. In fact, I have a couple Muslims friends, so please do not think that I am on here to bash you in any way. As I said, I'm completely open to anything said in this discussion forum, and although I do plan on sometimes providing challenges to the validity of Islam, I hope I can learn a lot from you guys, and I hope that you guys can learn a lot about my beliefs from me. Thanks a lot everyone, and I look forward to having respectful, intellectual discussion, making Muslims friends, and learning a lot about Islam. Thanks, Peace. |

Salaamu Alaykum, Welcome to the forum. ISA you will be patient with our shortcomings, and benefit from all that the members here have to offer. The front page of the IC website has informative articles and many useful links. I think you are limited to certain sections of posts at first until you reach 40 posts, and even then there are a few sections you can't post in. Hello Joseph, Actually I love standing at the door to welcome the newcomers but this time I have been too late, sorry. I believe that you are sincere -anyway this is an open forum so I dont think people here are afraid of visitors with different ideas and aims-I hope learning about Islam will be helpful to you in your effort to find your way in life. If the eyes are open light is everywhere, and if we give up holding our breath we inevitably inspire the fresh air, hope it will be as easy as these for you to discover Islam. welcome again. |
