   Salaam,

I was a freelance journalist and this is a photo I took of a man near Falluja 

holding up a Q'uran he claims US soldiers tore apart. They had just raided 

his farmhouse that morning (there was an unexploded hellfire missile in 

the front yard).

I cannot verify his story, but I doubt he tore it up himself.

My impression when I was working in Iraq was that this was fairly 

commonplace when American soldiers wanted to intimidate Iraqis.

	I am sorry. Just can't help laughing at such a great scholarly debate about the desecration of the Koran e pak. Have the Americans not been desecrating BOTH the bible and the Koran by their actions all along?
