Assalam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barkatahu

At this stage of progress , do we muslims need our own islamic OS rather than using windows or linux?

What are your opinions?

Wa alikum assalam wa rahmatulahi wa barkatahu

This is were we muslims are today. we wouldnt do anything constructive for the ummah except a few and when others do it , we sit joke about it , thinking that its not our responsiblity.

Why dont we stop our lethargic attitude and do someting for our ummah?

What ummah?

The so called "ummah" has bigger issues at hand right now.

Its not haram to use Windows or Linux

If you are good in C++ then please by all means design one. No one is stopping you.

never did i say that windows or linux is haram, all that i meant is an islamic envirnonment is better than a secular one.

I never asked you to develop the OS or others, its i who am going to develop. I wanted to know the opinions of the people from here. thats it.

But, bro what exactly you mean by Islamic OS? shall we rewrite the code of windows or Linux? However, you can customise linux if you want it to look like Islamic OS.

exactly, Linux is open source; just made your own version of it.

Masha Allah, using the code of linux is a good idea, but i dont think we can get the code of windows can we?

The OS is going to be nothing diffrent than the current Windows or linux in general aspects. the diffrence would be that i would insha Allah include other islamic attributes. The algorithm is yet to be decided
