Don't seek guidance while sleeping my friend
 you have to work and try to find your way and Allah will guide you. You are right you are free to take your time but not years. You will find things easier after you travel to any Arabic land, Don't worry. Remember that Allah is the only one who can guide you. Remember that Allah knows everything you do.
