   Well, I was awakened last night by squealling tires and silly teenagers.    But after a while, I settled and tried to get back to sleep.  I was thinking about Mishmish's previous statements about the Anglo Christian destruction of the Native Americans.  I began to think, what would you think would have been the result had Christopher Columbus been Muslim?  Spain was governed by Islamic Rulers for 800 years.  During this time, religious freedom and scholarly learning flourished, but the Christians and Jews were People of the Book.  The Native Americans would have been pagan. 
So, I was wondering what do you believe would have happened had Muslims come to this land first?  Certainly, Islam would have been preached much like Christianity was.  Perhaps not as violently.  But certainly, after time, the Native Cultures would have fallen one by one to the influx of Islamic teachings and beliefs.  Also, territorial tribes would have fought back over time, resenting the incursions into their lands and their cultures.  
The east meets west has always been a clash of cultures.  So any other ponderances????  What do you think???

	*I think that all the American continent, North and South would be Muslim.* I think that minorities would still have the possibility to practise their religion just like in Spain, but pagans would have been islamised. in North-Africa and Africa, there were pagans as well but the Arabs never destroyed them. The educated them into Muslims. Just like it is said in Topkapi palace in Istamboul where prisoners who were women would not be killed but educated as future Muslims women. In case they would have become very rich, no one can say if they would have remaniend good Muslims towards other countries. As for every religion, you have good and bad Muslims, or Muslims and hypocrites (like the Kings in Saudia Arabia..) *But I think the world would definitely be a better place! I actually think it will happen soon as lost and lots of people are reverting MashAllah!*

	I've read on the internet(not reliable source), that Muslims did come to North America. I don't know if its believable or not. Apparently, Talhassee is an arabic word. I dunno, just throwing that idea out there.

	Muslims were certainly far ahead in the field of naval technology at that time in comparision to Spanish and Muslims explorers were not discouraged by their religion to undertake expedetion to the America, unlike the Spanish.
