Walaikum Assalaam Brother:

I agree that many, if not most Muslim might have some semite ancestry. I know my husband does, he's from Moroccan-Arab. So, on his behalf, I cry anti-semitism and racism in the way he and his relatives are portayed, treated, and discriminated against.

Salaams.

Assalamu Alaikum!

Sister Mishmish:

"I agree that many, if not most Muslim might have some semite ancestry. I know my husband does, he's from Moroccan-Arab. So, on his behalf, I cry anti-semitism and racism in the way he and his relatives are portayed, treated, and discriminated against. "

And many of my near and far relatives in Asia, Middle East and in North America also have Arab blood. I think, I should also cry anti-semitism and racism in the way they are portrayed, treated and discriminated against, but will someone listen, or I will become the victim of islamophobia and am advised that "you know what, that is not "anti-semitism".

Peace

One of the great misconceptions of the twentieth century is that the so-called `Nation of Islam' is a Muslim community, or more precisely: a community which submits to Allah by following the Qur'an and Sunnah. The `Nation of Islam' is a man-made way of life which borrowed some elements of Islam and then mixed them with a large number of inventions and lies to reach their present doctrines.

It suffices to point out the `Nation of Islam's deviation in two areas. First, they reject the essence of Islam by concocting a story wherein the Creator takes the form of a black man. From their on-line publications, we find that the `Nation of Islam' believes in

...one God (Allah) and that Allah (God) appeared in the Person of Master W. Fard Muhammad, July, 1930; the long awaited `Messiah' of the Christians and the `Mahdi' of the Muslims...

However, the Creator states in the Qur'an (translation),

[6:103] No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision: He is above all comprehension, yet is acquainted with all things.

The `Nation of Islam' also claims that white men are `devils', and that black people are in general superior to all other races. However, from the Sunnah, specifically in the Messenger of Allah's farewell sermon, we find the Messenger (pbuh) saying:

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over a white - except by piety and good action.

There are many other beliefs which the `Nation of Islam' holds which take it outside of Islam. It is interesting to note that in the mid-1970's, the overwhelming majority of the group realized its errors and converted to true Islam. There is, however, a splinter group which remains active today

It is better to be alone than to be in bad company.

I would agree that historically someone of the Semitic culture is commonly attribute to the Jewish culture. Actually the earliest application of this term was by Ludwig Scholozer who attribute this to the Hebrew Bible. An example of this is from the "Old Testament" where Semitic the word derives from the name "Shem" which we know he is one of the three sons of Noah.

Anyway, point being is that being a Semite relates to the Afro-Asiatic languages and cultures. But allow me to but in Peacemaker in your address to Apex if I may. Even if we say someone who is Anti-Semitic is racist does not generally define that Islamophobia is a type of racism. The Muslim community may share the language of the Qur'an which is Arabic but Islamophobia as I understand it, is not commonly grounded on the language but the persona.

Typically the stereotypes of those with Islamophobia usually react towards individuals I guess who fit the profile of a Muslim. I guess if you wear a turban you are a Muslim. If you look a certain way you are Muslim. I doubt there therereally is a comparison.

But I would have to respectfully disagree brother with your analysis that most of the Muslim world is Semitic. I would think that the Muslim world is comprised of Semitic peoples but in total sense know. It's hard to say how populous were the Arab merchants and their settlements in various countries since the people whom they were delivering the message to were far more populous then Arab merchants and settlers.

Alas, I am afraid that would be the case. A double dilemma: anti-semited, so to speak, then Islamophobicked. Cut down twice for the same crime... Yet no venue to speak out against this injustice.
