now you are saying the opposite of what you claimed before when you said Jesus was the Only begotten Son - meaning he was the only human that had the seed of Gods total fullness and which evenyually grew into all of Gods fullness. The God part grew slowly until he became fully God which is which?

and we all existed 'in spirit' since God decided to create the world, no?

My Reply

There is no contradiction here. As ‘sons’ of God we as human beings were created by God. However because we are made in his image. We are like ‘gods’.

The Messiah Jesus Christ on the other hand was special and unique. In the Injil it states –

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:14

Mahdi Said

and where do you get the information that Firstly part of God became man. The creative, radiant nature or part of God took human form in Jesus Christ.please always quote evidence from the Bible to support your point of view.

My Reply

The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.

Hebrews 1.13

In Genesis it was the Word that created the world.

Genesis Chapter 1

In John it states. –

In the beginning was the Word,

and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

He was with God in the beginning.

Through him all things were made;

without him nothing was made that has been made.

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

The light ( radiance ) shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 1:1 -5

Greetings Mahdi,

So no part of anything I said resonated with you?
Do you think God is a man, as you are a man?
How do you explain that we can not look upon Him?
Why are we told that we can make no image because we can not know what the image of God is?
Why does God have to appear as a burning bush?
What do you say is the 'radiance' of God which transforms those who come into His presence?
You say He is just a man, as you are a man?
I'm interested to know, how do you see God?

Salaam and thanks,
Caringheart
Let us seek Truth together
Blessed be God forever

Your quotes of  Exodus 4:22, 2 Samuel 7:13-14, Jeremiah 31:9,  Deuteronomy 14:1 don’t even relate. Again you are quoting out of context and not making sense.

Psalm 2.7 is the only verse you quote that relates to this discussion and is worthy of discussion. If you read all of Psalm 2 you will see it is talking about The anointed One, The anointed Messiah. Not lots of individual human beings.

Psalm 110 is the same -  The Lord says to my Lord. Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.

Mahdi Said

Psalm 2:7, God is talking to David, who is a messiah.

In the Hebrew Bible a messiah (or mashiach) is a king or High Priest traditionally anointed with holy anointing oil.[

1 Samuel 16:12-13 Then the Lord said, “Rise and anoint him; this is the one.”

13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David.

My Reply

Yes that’s correct. All ancient Kings were anointed in this way.

However Jesus fulfills this passage in ways David, Solomon, Jehoshaphat, Hezekiah, and particularly Ahab, never came close to fulfilling.

Which ancient Jewish King received the entire world as his inheritance?

This psalm was looking through and past the Israelite kings to its ultimate fulfillment in Christ Jesus.

The Kingdom of God through Jesus has and is continuing to spread through the earth as his inheritance and possession. Ultimately at His second coming it will be totally His.

Mahdi Said

You said Jesus was God's only Son. I was demonstrating that God has many sons according to the Bible.

My Reply

Of course the word ‘sons’ is mentioned lots in the Bible. Sons can mean many things depending on the context. Read the context. Exodus 4.22 is about the nation of Israel.

2 Samuel 7:13-14 is about off spring, Jeremiah 31:9 is obviously referring to the tribe of Ephraim and Deuteronomy 14:1 is about people set apart from God.

Once again I suggest you read verses in their context. Reading the context of Psalm 2.7 its obviously about a Messianic figure who will have the nations your inheritance and the ends of the earth as his possession. Again, tell me Which ancient Jewish King received the entire world as his inheritance?
