unprecedented - Tornado hits Portugal doing major damage. Tornado's are previously unheard of in Portugal. Wars and rumors of wars... (Matthew 24) earthquakes in diverse places... (Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21) famines and plagues... (Luke 21) birth pangs... (Matthew 24) The Word in the Bible is Truth. If anyone has doubts about the Truth of the Bible all they have to do is to read; to see prophesy coming true before their very eyes... know how to discern the signs of the times. The word in the Bible indeed is truth, however we need to be careful to not look at calamities and be made to conclude the end of the world is near. The world may end today. Or tomorrow. Or in ten, a hundred, a thousand, a million or a billion years. Who knows? It is irrelevant. Live like every day may be be your last. Love and honour God. Follow Him by loving others, preaching the Good News, praying, helping the poor and working for justice for the oppressed. Do this and one day you will hear Him say "well done, thou good and faithful servant..." and it won't matter when the world ends. Leave that up to God. He can handle it better than we can. Just my 2 cents. |
