The first time I read about the true state of US economy was around 2007 by a Russian writer. It was a truly dismal state economy as it can get. Their economic problems started from the late 60's. Now 5 years later since I have been made aware it has gone worse, today with 16 trillions dollars in debt. With roughly 300 millions population we divide 16 trillions by 300 millions, and the result?

$53, 000 per person. That is including children, the elderly, the sicks and the poors. Sure the richs can pay their individual debts, but they are truly minority, like anywhere else.

The US economy needs drastic overhaul from top to bottom, and it will cause riot that will break the country.
