Based on the following verses, the Quran seems to attest to the authenticity of the Bible.
Quran 5:43 Sahih International But how is it that they come to you for judgement while they have the Torah, in which is the judgement of Allah ? Then they turn away, [even] after that; but those are not [in fact] believers. Quran 5:44 Sahih International Indeed, We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light. The prophets who submitted [to Allah ] judged by it for the Jews, as did the rabbis and scholars by that with which they were entrusted of the Scripture of Allah , and they were witnesses thereto. So do not fear the people but fear Me, and do not exchange My verses for a small price. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the disbelievers. So the Torah contains guidance and light. Quran 5:46 Sahih International And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous. Quran 5:47 Sahih International And let the People of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the defiantly disobedient. So, christians are commanded to judge by the Gospel with them at time of Prophet Muhammed pbuh. I do not believe Allah would tell them to judge by something which would lead them astray. Quran 5:48 Sahih International And We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a criterion over it. So judge between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations away from what has come to you of the truth. To each of you We prescribed a law and a method. Had Allah willed, He would have made you one nation [united in religion], but [He intended] to test you in what He has given you; so race to [all that is] good. To Allah is your return all together, and He will [then] inform you concerning that over which you used to differ. So, muslims should follow Quran, christians the Bible and in the end Allah will judge each accordingly. Edited by Mahdi The Seeke - 02 August 2012 at 5:32am |

Assalamu alaika.
If the Children of Israel did not differ after Joshua and those who called themselves Christians after Jesus son of Maryam, the Qur'an would have taken a different shape. The Qur'an is addressed to them initially. It is unfortunate that the followers of Muhammad failed to call them to understand this. Friendship. |

As'alaamu Alaikkum
The Torah and the Injeel are 'abrogated' by the Holy Qur'an.

He quoted the Qur'an in that it tells you exactly otherwise. The Qur'an contradicts its own self. Is this your God, one who is so confused? Salaam, Caringheart ![]() |

Assalamu alaaikum Abu Loren.
The correct statement is: The Torah is simplified and made easy, perfected and chosen by Allah as the final code of conduct by the Sunna of Muhammad Rasulullah. Let us use correct terminology and though out hatred and misinterpretation of the purpose of sending Muhammad to the People of the Book. The Torah teaching throughout is there is only one G-d and that one has to be punished on committing a sin. Friendship. |

Assalamu alaika Caringheart.
There is great difference in how Allah forgives a sin. For example you can commit any crime since you are yet to understand Muhammad. But I am not allowed to commit a single sin because I have been warned not to commit it. For example I do not go to Makka because they are breaking every law of Muhammad on prayers. Remember what Moses did when he returned from Sinai! Remember how Ache was punished. Muhammad got injured during the battle of Uhud for no fault of his. Friendship |
