Assalamu alaikum.

It is a pleasure to hear your total misconception and misunderstanding of Muhammad due to the failure of his followers to establish the caliphate. Caliphate is outside going to the moon discovering browsers etc. My father was a pharmacist, I am a medical doctor, all my brothers are educated and my son is an expert in computer programming. I am sure he will vie with anyone programmer in Germany!
If you mention Jew the Christians should be in silence. It is Muhammad who told the Jews all what their ancestors did and called them to it - leadership. The Jews and Christians have failed to bring peace, progress growth and progress to the world, because they have refused to follow the command of Muhammad- do not make arms and weapons and sell it to cause chaos and destabilize the world. Caliphate means the live in peace with one another and to explore the universe for our good. Caliphate refers to life of Abraham Moses, Jesus and not the present system of the Arabs way of life.
On the question of science, the world is yet to understand 0.5% of the sciences mentioned in the Qur'an. Why is it that for every prosthesis, it is made in exactly the way Allah made that part?

Assalamu alaikum.

Whenever the word Muslim is used the world looks at the Arabs. All the atrocities they commit is now referred to as the actions of Muhammad.
I do not know the origin of Phillips K. Hitti. Probably he is an Arab. He described the Arabs in his book is lip servers.
Islam is what was and is in the Sunna and practice of Muhammad Rasulullah alone. It is not an enclosed way of life referring only to specific class or people or region. This is my protest.

I find interfaith dialogue to be treading on a fine line. I just don't see the point or any usefulness of discussion. Is it for da'wah? Is it to clear up misconceptions?

And I think it often just provides shaitan an opportune moment for us to slip. I mean, how do we know that certain things will be insulting to other faiths? Even if we say, God has no son, that may be insulting.

"And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah, for fear that they insult Allah in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do." 6:108

And then someone will say God has a son. Allah has informed us through the Qur'an that every time someone says this, the heaven would almost collapse, the earth split and mountains fall. (19:90, 19:88-93) Why would we welcome that?

To my understanding, the Qur'an is supposed to be a reminder to mankind, relay that message and just say peace to whatever insult come our way. It is then Allah's will to open anyone's heart. Allah knows best.

I know there are rules, and it is moderated, but I do not see a purpose.

Just saying.. peace.

Dialog between faiths is good.

It shows people that there are many Gods and that they should all be thought of as myths until one has an apotheosis and learns who the real God is.

Assalamu alaika Greatest am I.

You are right. But one assumes that people are looking to understand Muhammad Rasulullah. We have to invite them. They should understand that understanding the Creator is through a sign and not signs. This is what they reject and argue.
As for the Intrafaith, it is the worst for Muslims keep on arguing and distorting the Sunna.
