Assalamu Alaikum,
i am new muslim and i need informations about Zakat. I live in Europe, my husband in Asia. We have separate profits. He pay Zakat in his place of stay. Should i pay separately? In my small city i am only one muslim. Next mosque is maybe 200 km from here. How can i do this?

Zakat is a process in which a person gives a certain proportion of his wealth to the needy. This is way to eliminate class distinctions and whats according to my knowledge is 2.5% of wealth as this is what the banking sector of Pakistan does. While i have also read in books its on a certain proportions of wealth Gold or Silver as well. That was the best detail i could provide.
