I want to know whether they r or not.Some say yes others say no.
Im 18,by da way.
and if they r,then can u pray at home?

Assalamu alaikum,
Tarawih is sunah (not compulsary) . Yes you can do it at home, alone or in congragation. Some do 8 rakaah (units), other do 20 rakaah.
