Here's a list of organizations in the environmental movement that are chronologically outlined with location and contact information/web-link of event. 

Attending any of these conferences/workshops would be a great place to begin networking with people from the movement if your career goals involves working in the environmental field (engineers, architects, educators, etc.). 

Some workshops require a registration fee.  If you are currently employed with an organization in the environmental field and you're interested in attending these, your employer may pay the fee.  Most employers will have a budget set aside to aide in employee training and education.
