Are you saying, that God never told people to love each other, before this?

What’s New About Jesus’ New Commandment?

The question that has guided all my focus in this message is What’s new about the commandment to love each other? “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another.” I see two answers implied in this verse. The key to the answers is found in the words in the second half of the verse: “. . . just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.” The newness of the command to love each other is found in the words “as I have loved you.”

I see two ways that the commandment to love each other is new in those words. First, the command is new because it is a command to live out the love of Jesus. Second, the command is new because it is a command to live on the love of Jesus. The words “as I have loved you” contain a pattern for our love for each other, and they contain a power for our love for each other.

Loving each other is not a new command per se. It was already there in the Old Testament (Leviticus 19:18, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself”). What’s new is that Jesus is now the pattern we live by and the power we live on. Let’s look at these two kinds of newness.

John 3
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

43)  His disciples said to him, "Who are you to say these things to us?"Jesus replied: "You don't understand who I am from what I say to you. Rather, you have become like the Judeans, for they love the tree but hate its fruit, or they love the fruit but hate the tree."

25) Jesus said, "Love your brother like your own soul, protect them like the pupil of your eye."

28) Jesus said, "I took my stand in the midst of the world, and in flesh I appeared to them. I found them all drunk, and I did not find any of them thirsty. My soul ached for the children of humanity, because they are blind in their hearts and do not see, for they came into the world empty, and they also seek to depart from the world empty. But meanwhile they are drunk. When they shake off their wine, then they will change their ways."

29) Jesus said, "If the flesh came into being because of spirit, that is a marvel, but if spirit came into being because of the body, that is a marvel of marvels. Yet I marvel at how this great wealth has come to dwell in this poverty."
  "
 112)  Jesus said, "Damn the flesh that depends on the soul. Damn the soul that depends on the flesh."

52)  His disciples said to him, "Twenty-four prophets have spoken in Israel, and they all spoke of you." He said to them, "You have disregarded the living one who is in your presence, and have spoken of the dead."

phillip:...

"Flesh and blood shall not inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Co 15:50). What is this which will not inherit? This which is on all of us. But what is this, too, which will inherit? It is that which belongs to Jesus and his blood.

Because of this he said "He who shall not eat my flesh and drink my blood has not life in him" (Jn 6:53). What is it? His flesh is the word, and his blood is the Holy Spirit. He who has received these has food and he has drink and clothing. I find fault with the others who say that it will not rise. Then both of them are at fault. You say that the flesh will not rise. But tell me what will rise, that we may honor you. You say the Spirit in the flesh, and it is also this light in the flesh. (But) this too is a matter which is in the flesh, for whatever you shall say, you say nothing outside the flesh. It is necessary to rise in this flesh, since everything exists in it.

Jesus took them all by stealth, for he did not appear as he was, but in the manner in which they would be able to see him. He appeared to them all. He appeared to the great as great. He appeared to the small as small. He appeared to the angels as an angel, and to men as a man. Because of this, his word hid him from everyone. Some indeed saw him, thinking that they were seeing themselves, but when he appeared to his disciples in glory on the mount, he was not small. He became great, but he made the disciples great, that they might be able to see him in his greatness.

No one will hide something of great value in something ostentatious, but oftentimes has one placed (things worth) countless myriads in something worth a pittance. Thus it is with the soul a precious thing came to be in a humble body

do we ?? will we?? ever?
to many christains think " the love of jesus " thats going to save them comes from some "other worldly place " to be showered down upon them.

will you turn away from the cup of life to beg your brother or sister to drop their swords and take your hand?? will you fall into the pit to save them.

this is the love of jesus that saves you! it dosn't come from some "other place" it comes from within us.
this is the message in " THE REVELATION OF JESUS "
 READ THIS LINK THROGH.

ask yourselves if you would give all , everything in your power to save humanity from the coming day.
 if not, you have nothing.

i would ,and what a joy that would be.

Yes. I can bring more proof proving Mohammad s.a.w.a. being even more than Allah’s word.

some more on love from phillip :

He who is free because of knowledge is a slave because of love. for the sake of those who have not yet recieved the freedom of knowledge. Knowledge makes them able to be free

Love never calls anything its own..[...]...It never says this is mine and that is yours.,but says all of this is yours.

Spiritual love is wine and fragrance. All those who are anointed with it enjoy it. While those who are anointed remain, those who stand beside them also enjoy it. But if those who are anointed with the chrism withdraw and depart, those who are not anointed stand by and remain in thier own sent.
The Samaritan gave nothing but wine and oil to the wounded man----and it healed the wounds because love heals a multitude of sins.

love one another ,..lets express it in this post . clip, paste, type- whatever  ,,share the  love from  your books and writings and thoughts.
   peace will surely follow.
