 Believer, we do not need your interpretation of the Arabic words please. We have a long understanding of these words from the pure Arabic. Arabic is the mother of all languages and is still a living and progressing language.

 We know that root meaning of Kufr are quite a few. It is used in about six different contexts, as some of them you have described above, such as to disbelieve,  to deny, to cover up etc. But the word Kaafir is a special word. It has technical meaning,like Salaat and Zakaat etc have a well known fixed meaning. We do not need to go into the root meanings of all those technical words. We do not need to consult any dictionary for those words. Their meanings are fixed by the various verses of the Quran and the practice of the holy prophet s.a.w.s.

 If we go looking into the dictionary for the meanings of salat and Zakaat now then it means that we are dumb and we know nothing about our religion. Same is the case with many other words in the Quran. Kaafir is also one of them.

	Kafir=enemy?? I agree that there are different levels of kufr, but from where do you get that kafir=enemy? or kufr=enmity ? If require we can write some comments on the verses of Quran, but you don't require to alter the direct translation of the verse itself. Finally, why you have been insisting from beginning that we should accept your explanation of "kafir" without any proof, while you have been asking us to disprove you. 	minuteman- are there other words that you have to look to hadith to find the meaning? In the original Quran it is written as kfr- correct? Are there multiple meaning of salat and Zakaat?

	2:6 “ Innal-laziina kafaruu sawa –un alayhim a-anzartahum am lam tunzirhum laa yu’ minuun” (Verily, those who disbelieve, it is the same to them whether you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ) warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe) Why would I changed the words of Allah? On what authority? I will not change something that is so true to meet and support my opinion. Tafseer by mere opinion is prohibited as what the Prophet said: “Whoever explains the Quran with his opinion or with what he has no knowledge of, then let him assume his seat in the Fire.” – Tirmidhi, An-Nasai and Abu Dawud
