ACADEMIC PROGRAM / GUIDED TOURS:

This travel study program primarily focuses on the rich Islamic history in Saudi Arabia. We will learn about how Islam has grown from a minority of only one person to many in the land of Arabia and beyond. We will also try to learn how Muslim communities have functioned over the centuries. We will also explore the culture, food, dress, art and architecture of old and new Saudi Arabia. Please note that this is not a deen-intensive program. The focus is on Islamic history, Saudi culture and society, relying on their living experiences.

There will be brief lectures and discussions throughout the program. The main mode of learning, however, will be daily visits to places and people. We will watch artisans engaged in making Kiswa (Kaba cover), experience a visit to the most modern & biggest printing press of Quran & of course visit the grounds of Badr & Uhud and the heights of Mount An-Nur. We will also make an attempt to meet the Imams of Masjid Al Haram in Makkah or Masjid Al Haram in Madinah & scholars at various universities in Makkah, Jeddah and Madinah.
