40:5 But (there were people) before them, who denied (the Signs),- the People of Noah, and the Confederates (of Evil) after them; and every People plotted against their prophet, to seize him, and disputed by means of vanities, therewith to condemn the Truth; but it was I that seized them! and how (terrible) was My Requital! Turkish:
40:5 Kendilerinden önce Nuh kavmi de yalanladi ve kendilerinden sonra (sayisi çok) firkalar da. Her ümmet, kendi elçilerini (susturmak için) yakalamaya yeltendi. Hakki, onunla yürürlükten kaldirmak için, 'batila-dayanarak' mücadeleye giristiler. Ben de onlari yakalayiverdim. Artik Benim cezalandirmam nasilmis?
French:
40:5 Avant eux, le peuple de Noé a traité (Son Messager) de menteur, et les coalisés après eux (ont fait de même), et chaque communauté a conçu le dessin de s'emparer de Son Messager. Et ils ont discuté de faux arguments pour rejeter la vérité. Alors Je les ai saisis. Et quelle punition fut la Mienne!.
German:
40:5 Vor ihnen schon leugneten das Volk Noahs und Stämme nach ihnen (die Gesandten), und jedes Volk plante, seinen Gesandten zu ergreifen, und sie stritten mit Falschheit, auf daß sie die Wahrheit damit widerlegen möchten. Dann erfaßte Ich sie, und wie war Meine Strafe!
Spanish:
40:5 Antes de ellos, ya el pueblo de Noé había desmentido. Luego, también los coalicionistas. Los miembros de cada comunidad habían planeado apoderarse del enviado que se les había mandado. Y discutieron con argucias para, así, derribar la Verdad. Entonces, Yo me los llevé y ;¡cuál no fue Mi castigo!
