2:258 Hast thou not Turned thy vision to one who disputed with Abraham About his Lord, because Allah had granted him power? Abraham said: "My Lord is He Who Giveth life and death." He said: "I give life and death". Said Abraham: "But it is Allah that causeth the sun to rise from the east: Do thou then cause him to rise from the West." Thus was he confounded who (in arrogance) rejected faith. Nor doth Allah Give guidance to a people unjust. Turkish:
2:258 Allah, kendisine mülk verdi, diye Rabbi konusunda Ibrahim'le tartismaya gireni görmedin mi? Hani Ibrahim: "Benim Rabbim diriltir ve öldürür" demisti; o da: "Ben de öldürür ve diriltirim" demisti. (O zaman) Ibrahim: "Süphe yok, Allah günesi dogudan getirir, (hadi) sen de onu batidan getir" deyince, o inkarci böylece afallayip kalmisti. Allah, zalimler toplulugunu hidayete erdirmez.
French:
2:258 N'as-tu pas su (l'histoire de) celui qui, parce qu'Allah l'avait fait roi, argumenta contre Abraham au sujet de son Seigneur? Abraham ayant dit: "J'ai pour Seigneur Celui qui donne la vie et la mort", "Moi aussi, dit l'autre, je donne la vie et la mort." Alors dit Abraham: "Puisqu'Allah fait venir le soleil du Levant, fais-le donc venir du Couchant." Le mécréant resta alors confondu. Allah ne guide pas les gens injustes.

2:258 Hast du nicht von dem gehört, der mit Abraham über seinen Herrn stritt, weil Allah ihm das Königreich verliehen hatte? Als Abraham sprach: "Mein Herr ist der, Der Leben gibt und tötet", sagte er: "Ich gebe Leben und töte." Abraham sprach: "Wohlan, Allah bringt die Sonne von Osten; bringe du sie von Westen." Da war der Ungläubige bestürzt. Und Allah weist den Ungerechten nicht den Weg.

2:258 ¿No has visto a quien disputaba con Abraham sobre su Señor porque Alá le había dado el dominio? Cuando Abraham dijo: "Mi Señor es Quien da la vida y da la muerte". Dijo: "Yo doy la vida y doy a muerte". Abraham dijo: "Alá trae el sol por oriente; tráelo tú por Occidente". Así fue confundido el infiel. Alá no dirige al pueblo impío.
