17:59 And We refrain from sending the signs, only because the men of former generations treated them as false: We sent the she-camel to the Thamud to open their eyes, but they treated her wrongfully: We only send the Signs by way of terror (and warning from evil). Turkish:
17:59 Bizi ayet (mucize)ler göndermekten, öncekilerin onu yalanlamasindan baska bir sey alikoymadi. Semud'a disi deveyi görünür (bir mucize) olarak gönderdik, fakat onlar bununla (onu bogazlamakla) zulmetmis oldular. Oysa biz ayetleri ancak korkutmak için göndeririz.
French:
17:59 Rien ne Nous empêche d'envoyer les miracles, si ce n'est que les Anciens les avaient traités de mensonges. Nous avions apporté aux Tamud la chamelle qui était un [miracle] visible: mais ils lui firent du tort. En outre, nous n'envoyons de miracles qu'à titre de menace.
German:
17:59 Und nichts könnte Uns hindern, Zeichen zu senden, als daß die Früheren sie verworfen hatten. Und Wir gaben den Thamüd die Kamelstute als ein sichtbares Zeichen, doch sie frevelten an ihr. Wir senden Zeichen, nur um zu warnen.
Spanish:
17:59 No Nos ha impedido obrar milagros sino que los antiguos los desmintieran. Dimos la camella a los tamudeos como milagro palpable, pero obraron impíamente con ella. No obramos los milagros sino para atemorizar.
